SC-Aircraft & Metal Cleaner is a qualified product certified to MIL-PRF-87937D, Type IV (HEAVY DUTY). It is a versatile product engineered for aluminum, sensitive magnesium, aircraft exterior and component parts, aerospace manufacturing, ground support equipment, and more. SC-Aircraft is a moderate foaming, highly concentrated cleaner/degreaser comprised of a non-ionic surfactant system that may be used in the most difficult cleaning situations. SC-Aircraft will NOT react with other chemicals to create hazardous conditions. SC-Aircraft may be used without any special PPE or handling precautions and may be stored indefinitely. SC-Aircraft is safe to use and dispose of in neat form.
SC-Aircraft may be used in soak tanks, manufacturing process cleaning, pressure washers, steam cleaners, throughput, ultrasonic, and centrifugal machines.

NSN's are "generic" for all QPL Type IV's. You may order using NSN's, however, it is not guarenteed your will receive the product you want. Instead, you will probably end up with whatever product the DLA has stocked at that time. To ensure you receive SC-Aircraft via NSN orders, we recommend you have your procurement officer fill out an SSR (supply support request).
